We work with local charitable organisations to assist to embed amazing outcomes in three main areas of passion:

Children – they’re the future and our little Ella Rose – the heir to Cumbrian Tea – was born during COVID Lockdown 1.0, in 2020.

The Environment – all of the company’s products are as sustainable, ethical and environmentally friendly as possible and we will continue to innovate in this arena as the business grows.

Mental Health – life is hard at times and was especially challenging in 2020, so we understand the importance of helping out in this area where able.

Our chosen children’s charity is Team Evie (registered charity no. 1164489).

Evie Johnston

Team Evie are a Cumbrian charity set up in loving memory of the incredible Evie Johnston! Their mission is to help support sick children and their families who face similar challenges to those Evie faced in her all too short life.

The charity currently collaborates with 20 different wards and medical teams across the North East and Cumbria supporting families in hospital, in the community and with bereavement support.

The charity does SO much more than what’s mentioned above, so whilst enjoying your brew why don’t you find out a bit more about Evie, the work the charity does and how you can help to raise funds and make a difference, via their website and social media:

We are proud members of Cumbria Community Foundation (registered charity no. 1075120) and over the coming years will be looking at ways to support environmental causes.

Cumbria Community Foundation connects people who care with causes that matter. By working with individuals, families and organisations, it invests in charitable projects, tackling the biggest issues facing the county and supports some of society’s most disadvantaged people. It inspires local philanthropy, providing help and advice to those who want to give at the heart of their communities, both now and in the long-term. Since 1999, the Foundation has been transforming lives and creating opportunities for people that would otherwise never experience them.

We are also looking to support The Ewanrigg Local Trust in various ways, namely with their Hug a Mug and We Will campaigns which have links into Mental Health.

The Ewanrigg Local Trust is a voluntary organisation made up of people who live and work in Ewanrigg who want to ensure that Ewanrigg is a great place to live – for everybody!

As well as running trips, shows, events, the WE WILL youth mental health campaign, the Making Maryport Smile Facebook page and the Maryport Matters magazine – we also run HUG A MUG, a free and friendly signposting and support service, located in Maryport Health Services.

HUG A MUG offers help and support with all sorts of things like health and well-being, housing, work, finance or family problems.
